Rafi Resurrected is an 18 song musical feast that presents for the first time, a symphonic interpretation of Indian Music. In a first of its kind recording, The City of Birmingham Orchestra(CBSO), an elite 75 member outfit, has joined hands with India's leading vocalist Sonu Niigaam to create a unique album where Sonu pays a beautiful tribute to his musical father, Late Mohammed Rafi. The album was released in London on 17th June 2008 under the banner of Sa Re Ga Ma HMV and was available shortly in other parts of the world.

Sonu also performed live with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra across 3 cities in the UK and the tour received a thunderous response from the audience. The series kicked off in Birmingham on the 15th July 2008, followed by Manchester on 17th July 2008 and culminated with a grand finale in London on the 20th July 2008. Musical history was created since it was the first time a leading Indian vocalist appeared on stage with a leading Symphony Orchestra. Sonu paid a magnificent tribute to Late Mohammed Rafi with grandeur,elegance and poise by rendering some of his evergreen hits. The concert at the London Coliseum has been recorded for future broadcast on BBCTV and also in India and the United States.
